Minutes of the monthly meeting

February 12, 2008

  The February meeting was held at Harbor Village at 12:00 noon.  Those present were Brenda Terry, Judy Holbrook, Barbara England, Bill England, Jackie Meads, Frank Smith, Carmen Madsen, Loretta Fidler.

  The minutes of the meeting of January 3, 2008 were approved unanimously.

  Discussion followed regarding the Chocolate Festival and Craft Fair.  Admission fee will be $1.00 per adult, and hands will be stamped in order to allow entry to both venues – Harbor Village and Bear Trapper, where the chocolate forest will be held. 

  Judy Holbrook reported there has been considerable advertising including radio in Montpelier , Herald Journal article, and several other radio spots.  Notices have been posted in Garden City post office.  It was reported that new signs for the Chocolate Festival have been made out of metal, with no dates, in order that they may be reused other years.  There are 13 booths to be set up for the Craft Fair.  Setup for the booths will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, with the Festival being open from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday

  Judy reported that letters have been sent out to legislators regarding the marina expansion and she has received several responses.  General discussion followed.

  There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
